How to Move In

Check in at the Bear Hall Housing Office at 600 North 10th Street between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the Move-In dates listed on the Summer 2012 "Housing Booking Terms" schedule.

How to Move Out

Check-out information will be available at the front desk of the residence hall. Students are required to leave on the move-out date of their last summer housing term.

There are no refunds of summer housing costs, even if you check-out early.

*May 12 – May 19 Transition Week One: If you lived in the MCV Low Rises during the Spring 2012 semester and are taking a summer session class (or are participating in a program) that begins Monday, May 14, 2012, you will sign up for your current room for Transition Week One and also for any additional weeks you need housing up until Saturday, June 30, 2012. For summer housing after June 30th, see below.


***July 1 – August 10 and **August 11 – 17 (Transition Week Two): After June 30, 2012, summer housing in the MCV Low Rise halls is available only if you have signed up to live in the Low Rises for the Fall 2012 semester. If you need to continue to live on campus between June 30 - August 17, 2012, you cannot "book" these additional summer weeks online yourself. Instead, you must contact the VCU Central Housing Office directly at (804) 828-7666, or call the MCV Low Rises Office of Residence Education at (804) 828-1800. The housing staff will then manually book these summer housing dates for you.
