Upperclassmen Living-Learning Programs

Living-Learning Communities are designed to integrate unique on-campus living with a focused academic experience. The mix of curricular and co-curricular activities enables students to apply classroom learning in real-world experiences.

ASPiRE

VCU ASPiRE is a living-learning program promoting community engagement through academic coursework and co-curricular activity. The mission of VCU ASPiRE is to enrich and deepen students’ understanding of their capacity to create positive change in communities and address critical societal needs through long-term sustainable partnerships. Specifically, VCU ASPiRE is dedicated to making an impact in pre-k-adult education, accessible and affordable housing, leadership development, economic development, youth mentoring, healthy living, environmental sustainability and urban revitalization. Globe

VCU Globe is a global education living-learning community that prepares students to live and work in a 21st-century global environment. With VCU Globe, students expand their knowledge and impact as global citizens through the connection of coursework, co-curricular activities, and a vibrant residential experience.  LEAD

The VCU LEAD program is dedicated to the development of current and future leaders through academic and co-curricular engagement. LEAD’s vision is to be the most distinctive living-learning community through which students develop into world ready leaders. INNOVATE

VCU INNOVATE promotes understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship through academic coursework and co-curricular activities. To accomplish this INNOVATE focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to create a culture that inspires true creative thinking. The Honors College

The Honors College residence hall accommodates both first-year and upper-class students in a residence hall that is designed especially for students of The Honors College. The Honors College living experience allows for increased interaction among honors students and facilitates active involvement in Honors College programs, including seminars and activities.
