Residential Villages

Residential Villages are designed for first-year students with similar interests or academic majors. Students live together and are enrolled in 2 to 3 of the same courses. By selecting a Residential Village, you will be pre-enrolled in some of your courses when you arrive on campus for New Student Orientation. For a listing of the courses associated with each village, please see the Residential Village Course Listing.

How Do I Sign Up?

Visit Residence Halls for a description of each Residential Village.

To ensure you get the Residential Village of your choice you must (1) apply for Housing by accessing www.housing.vcu.edu and clicking on the VCU Residential Gateway link and completing your application, including pre-payment, by May 1, (2) select your Residential Village as your FIRST preference an and (3) turn in your pre-payment. Don't forget to make a second and third choice housing preference, just in case your RV of choice is full!

Once you register for your Residential Village, you will be enrolled in the 2-3 courses appropriate for your major and/or interests prior to New Student Orientation. During New Student Orientation, your academic advisor will assist you in selecting additional courses built around your Residential Village schedule.
